Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro labeled the incident as an act of terrorism.
“We will catch the helicopter and those who perpetrated the armed terror attack, I condemn it,” Maduro said.
Maduro noted that the helicopter hurled several grenades at the Supreme Court’s building in Caracas.
In addition, Maduro called on the opposition coalition Democratic Unity Roundtable to condemn the incident.
Venezuelan Armed Forces are on standby to protect peace, according to Maduro.
