The current record-holder is Svetlana Pankratova, another former basketball player for the Russian national team. Svetlana has the world's longest legs, verified as measuring 132 centimeters (51.9 inches) in Torremolinos, Spain, on July 8, 2003.

According to the Russian book of records, Ekaterina Lisina is recognized as the tallest woman in Russia – she is 206 centimeters (6 feet 9 inches) tall.

The 29-year-old officially has the largest women’s feet in Russia, measuring 30.5 centimeters (equal to a European size 47 or a UK size 12).

The ex-pro-basketball player is a proud 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics bronze winner.

However, Ekaterina decided to go the extra mile and win another ‘summit’ on her way. Now, she is attempting to set a new Guinness record for having the longest legs in the world.

Ekaterina’s legs measure a whopping 133 centimeters (52.4 inches), which is more than the current record-holder’s legs: they’re 132 centimeters (51.9 inches) long.

The former basketball player is a model and a mom: her child is six years old.

“I experienced some discomfort when I was 12-13 years old,” Ekaterina told the Metro newspaper Russian edition. “I thought that boys didn’t want to communicate because I'm so tall! I was upset and even wanted to become shorter,” she explained.

Soon enough, Ekaterina realized that her height gives a huge advantage in sports. “Basketball changed everything: at the age of 15 years, I’d signed my first professional contract. I began to communicate with lots of tall girls and boys. Finally, when I was 19, I realized that my height is a virtue, not a disadvantage. I realized that guys like me, that I have a lot of fans,” the athlete noted.

Ekaterina aims to help tall boys and girls overcome their shyness and become more confident, to pay attention to their talents and not be afraid to implement them.
