Vigilant rider Kristine Hizon noticed the commuting pup seconds after it popped its head out of a suitcase, which prompted her to quickly film the encounter. The dog-in-luggage ruse seems like a creative way to get around the MTA’s rules on animals riding the decades-old subway system.
As the rule states: "No person may bring any animal on or into any conveyance or facility unless enclosed in a container and carried in a manner which would not annoy other passengers."
Consider yourself beat, MTA.
Although the dog does seem to appear cramped in the carry-on bag, Hizon, speaking to ABC7, said he seemed content and that the bag just appears to be smaller than it actually was.
