MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Abu Walaa along with four other Islamists was arrested in November 2016 for allegedly recruiting militants for the IS and running a nationwide salafi-jihadi network.
The security forces view Walaa as the head of a Daesh cell in Germany, whose secret jihad seminars attended Anis Amri, the terrorist, who rammed a truck into crows at a Christmas market in December 2016 in German capital of Berlin, the Focus-Online magazine reported.
The court process on Walaa's case is scheduled to begin on September 19, 2017.
