Over 2,000 grenadiers are participating in the drills at firing ranges of Russia's Eastern Military District in Republic of Buryatia, Khabarovsk, Primorsky, Zabaikalsky, Territories and Region of Sakhalin, according to the press service of Eastern Military District.

VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) — Over 2,000 grenadiers are participating in the drills at firing ranges of Russia's Eastern Military District in Republic of Buryatia, Khabarovsk, Primorsky, Zabaikalsky, Territories and Region of Sakhalin, the press service of Eastern Military District said Thursday.

"During the practical exercises the grenadiers will learn how to conduct reconnaissance, how to set the aim and fire various targets in different difficult weather conditions, including a strong side wind," the statement read.

According to the statement, the servicemen are practicing tactical movement to the detected target and elements of position disguise.

Special attention is paid to destroying moving vehicles with a first shot. The units are also practicing in the destruction of enemy's ground troops and snipers, the statement read further.
