Michelle Arendas and Josh Avsec matched on Tinder nearly three years ago. The couple had shared only 11 messages during this time, replying to each other every few months.
Last week, 22-year-old Avsec published screenshots of his Tinder messages with Arendas, which looked like a series of belated replies since they first matched in September 2014.
Hahahaha one day I'm going to meet this girl and it's going to be epic. Look at the dates of our tinder texts. pic.twitter.com/DASQK4c5cX

"One day I'm going to meet this girl and it's going to be epic," Avsec commented on his Twitter. "Look at the dates of our Tinder texts."
His tweet went viral, causing vivid responses among social media users.

After that, Tinder itself decided to get involved and finally bring the couple together, arranging for them their first date in a place of their choice.
It’s time you got together IRL. You have 24 hrs to decide the city you want to have your first date in and we’ll send you there! @mch_rnd https://t.co/7r2JQtcxKC

The couple said they wanted their first date to take place in Hawaii.
Tinder replied: Aloha! We're sending you to Maui but you can't take two years to pack your bags!
The couple is now set to finally meet each other not only in real life, but also in a very romantic place.

"This is like some sort of dream. A date in Hawaii is far more epic than I could have ever imagined. Thank you so much!" posted Avsec.
