On Tuesday, Donald Trump Jr. made public the email chain with British publicist Rob Goldstone, who represents Russian singer Emin Agalarov. The release came after US media reported about Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya to allegedly talk about compromising information on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Goldstone said in an email to Trump Jr. could be provided with "very high level and sensitive information" related to Clinton, according to the released emails.
Trump's son noted in a statement he thought the information would be some kind of political research and the two were going to discuss policies related to adoption of Russian children by US nationals and the Magnitsky Act.
Russia has denied any kind of collusion with Trump and his team during the 2016 US presidential election. Moscow called the allegations absurd and stressed Kremlin never interferes in foreign affairs of other states.
