The US Navy has ordered four companies to provide its Tactical Electronic Warfare Division new research costing nearly $100 million, according to the Pentagon.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Navy has ordered four companies to provide its Tactical Electronic Warfare Division new research costing nearly $100 million, the Department of Defense said in a press release.

"Envisioneering [of] Alexandria, Virginia; Applied Technology [of] King George, Virginia; DHPC Technologies [of] Woodbridge, New Jersey and Praxis [of] Alexandria, Virginia are being awarded a… $95,000,000… contract," the release stated on Wednesday.

The four companies will provide scientific, engineering and technical support for the US Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division in Washington, DC, the Defense Department explained.

Work on the contract will be carried out over the next five years and is expected to be completed by July 12, 2022, the release added.
