WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — "By reintroducing this legislation, we are standing up for American families who are suffering under the strain of regulation and the consequences of failed economic policies," McConnell said. The senators claim the nearly tax-free zones will improve employment prospects for the jobless in high unemployment communities around the United States.
"The Economic Freedom Zones Act will bring hope to struggling communities by relieving the oppressive, big government burdens weighing them down," Paul claimed.
The legislation will cover communities who have an unemployment rate over 1.5 times that of the national average.
