Bermann, 63, already worked at the French embassy in Moscow in 1986-1989. Apart from working in China and the United Kingdom, Bermann has also been a member of the French diplomatic group in the United Nations and the European Union.

Recently, the political dialogue between Moscow and Paris has become significantly more active.
