WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Work on the program will last for five years with an estimated completion date of July 12, 2022 and will be supervised by the US Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground in the state of Maryland, the Defense Department said.
"Booz Allen Hamilton [of] McLean, Virginia was awarded a $49,900,000… contract to provide Recovered Chemical Materiel Directorate program management, mission, and operational support," the release stated on Tuesday.
The US Army Chemical Materials Activity (CMA) Recovered Chemical Materiel Directorate (RCMD) provides centralized management and direction to the Defense Department for the assessment and destruction of recovered chemical warfare materiel (RCWM), according to the directorate’s web site.
