"It is encouraging that within the framework of the salon, Russian and Foreign experts, industrialists, businessmen analyze the processes taking place in the industry and present their views for the future. The deals signed during MAKS, joint prospective projects illustrate foreign partners' interest in cooperation with Russia," Putin said in a letter, published by the presidential press service.
The president noted that the foreign partners were also interested in the implementation of ambitious ideas that require joint efforts.
Putin recalled that MAKS’s history started 25 years ago, and that since then, the event has become a platform for introducing foremost achievements in engineering.
Earlier in the day, Russia's Rosoboronexport state intermediary announced its plans to sign more than 10 contracts and cooperation agreements at the MAKS this week.
