"The Rokot program is not closed. As of today, those two vehicles that are in the interests of the Defense Ministry have been manufactured, one vehicle will be manufactured in the 11th month," Aleksei Varochko told reporters.
The Rokot is a modification of the RS-18 (SS-19 Stiletto) two-stage ballistic missile that is being decommissioned from Russia’s Strategic Missile Forces.
Moreover, Russia's second Angara heavy-lift launch vehicle will be delivered to an unspecified space center in February or March, the new head of the Krhunichev State Research and Prodcution Space Center said Tuesday.
"The second flight vehicle is ready and will be shipped in parts on [July] 25… to Moscow. Tests will be carried out here," Aleksei Varochko told reporters at the MAKS International Aviation and Space Salon. "The second vehicle will be delivered to the cosmodrome in February-March."
