WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Donald Trump said in a statement on Tuesday that the failure of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, would help lawmakers agree on a new healthcare plan.
"As I have always said, let ObamaCare fail and then come together and do a great healthcare plan," Trump stated in a Twitter message. "Stay tuned!"

On Monday, two more Republican Senators, Mike Lee and Jerry Moran, announced they would not support their party's legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare.
The announcement from the senators prompted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to pull the bill from any further consideration. He said instead the Senate would just vote on a full repeal of Obamacare.
The new plan would repeal Obamacare in two years, to allow some time to create a new system, McConnell noted in a statement.
