"According to the market forecast represented today at MAKS-2017 aviation salon, the United Aircraft Corporation estimates the global demand in 2017-2036 for the new passenger aircraft with the capacity of over 30 seat at 41,800 vessels. Their cost will total $5.7 billion in the catalog prices of 2017," the UAC said in a statement referring to its market forecast until 2036.
The statement continued summarizing the study results by noting that the narrow-body aircraft with a 120-seat capacity will be the most popular, and will form 63 percent all new aircraft produced during the forecast period.
Yury Slyusar, the president of the UAC, said in the document that the corporation is actively working on improving the market mechanisms of new aircraft sales.
The MAKS-2017, one of the world's largest aviation shows established 25 years ago, is being held in Zhukovsky, 40 kilometers (25 miles) south-east of Moscow, from July 18-23.
