MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Polish President Andrzej Duda signed into law on Monday a bill on the prohibition of communist propaganda that regulates the demolition of Soviet-era monuments.
"A corresponding statement has been made in the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I know that they are preparing retaliatory measures," Valentina Matvienko said.
Matvienko, chairperson of the Council of Federation, requested the head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs to request the ministry to brief senators on the planned measures.
