WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Three technology firms won $300 million in contracts to rapidly develop new information technology systems and software over the next eight years, the Department of Defense said in a press release.
"eScience & Technology Solutions [of] North Charleston, South Carolina, IDEAMATICS [of] McLean, Virginia and Rite-Solutions [of] Pawcatuck, Connecticut are being awarded a… rapid product development… contract for Enterprise Information Systems," the release said on Thursday.
The three companies will design and develop information technology systems and software supporting enterprise business services with contracts that have a cumulative value of $300,000,000, the Defense Department explained.
The contract will last five years but may be extended over a further three year period to be completed in July 2025, the release stated.
