MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On July 23-24, Erdogan will hold meetings with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud in Jeddah, according to the president's press office. The Turkish leader will also meet with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
In June, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt broke off diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorism and interfering in their internal affairs.
Through Kuwait, the four Arab states handed over an ultimatum containing 13 demands to Doha. The list included requests to sever relations with Iran, close Turkey’s military base on Qatar's territory and shut down Al Jazeera TV channel, as well as end support for the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organization banned in Russia. Doha has refused to comply with the demands.
