The plane did land safely around three miles from the Gwinnett County Airport, and it was pulled onto the road’s median by responding officials around 12:45 p.m. local time.
Luckily the pilot, who was the only one on board the “Sonex experimental, amateur-built aircraft,” was not injured in the fiasco.
A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman told the Atlanta Journal Constitution the aircraft was registered to a Buford-area man.

After the miraculous landing, many were quick to point out the tiny plane’s striking resemblance to Nazi-era warplanes used by Germany in World War II.
