MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian representatives in the Russian-Turkish commission on the Syrian truce have registered five violations of the ceasefire regime in Syria during the past 24 hours, while Turkey has not informed about any, the Russian Defense Ministry said Monday.

"Within last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 5 cases of firing in the province of Damascus. The Turkish party has not presented data about registered cases of ceasefire violations," the ministry said in a daily bulletin.

Most cases of random fire occurred in the areas controlled by the militants of terrorist groups, such as Jabhat Fatah al Sham (formerly known as the Nusra Front) and Daesh, both banned in Russia.
