WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US aerospace giant Lockheed Martin won more than $8 million for logistics support for F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighters for Israel under the Foreign Military Sales program, the Department of Defense said in a press release.
"Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company [of] Fort Worth, Texas is being awarded $8,002,763 for [a] modification… contract for recurring logistics support and sustainment services for F-35 Lightning II aircraft in support of the government of Israel," the release said on Monday.
The funding will be approved under the Foreign Military Sales program and the services to be provided include ground maintenance, action request resolution, depot activation activities, Automatic Logistics Information System, operations and maintenance, the Defense Department explained.
