WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US-based Lockheed Martin-owned Sikorsky aircraft won more than $7 million to make aircraft main landing gears for Navy helicopters, the Department of Defense said in a press release.
"Sikorsky [of] Stratford, Connecticut has been awarded a maximum $7,292,889… [contract] for aircraft main landing gears," the release stated on Tuesday. "Using military service is Navy."
Work on the contract will be carried out over the next two and a half years with an estimated completion date of February 28, 2020, the Defense Department said.
