WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US defense giant Raytheon won nearly $17 million to provide engineering services for Israel’s Patriot anti-missile and air defense batteries, the Department of Defense said in a press release.
"Raytheon [of] Andover, Massachusetts was awarded a $16,978,580… (Israel) contract for engineering services for the PATRIOT weapon system supporting US and foreign military sales customers," the release stated on Wednesday.
Work on the contract will be carried out in Andover, Burlington and Tewksbury in Massachusetts; El Segundo, California; El Paso, Texas; Huntsville, Alabama and White Sands, New Mexico over the next 15 months with an estimated completion date of October. 31, 2018, the release said.
