Forty eight people got injured as a result of a train accident in Barcelona. Eighteen people were hospitalized, five of them in critical condition.

Six ambulances, nine police and 11 fireman units have been dispatched to the place of the accident.

According to media reports, the train arriving from Sant Vicenc de Calders village failed to brake when entering the station.
