Earlier in the day, Romanian authorities prevented an S7 airlines plane, which had Rogozin on board as one of its passengers, from flying over the country en route to Moldova. According to a representative from the airline that operated the flight, the plane was not allowed to enter Romanian airspace due to the fact that Rogozin was on a sanctions list.
"Russia should also take appropriate measures. All in all, the question should be raised resolutely," Zatulin said.
The Foreign Ministry of Romania has confirmed the decision to bar the plane from entering the country's airspace. Rogozin, in turn, described the actions of Romanian authorities as "an unfriendly move" against Moldovan President Igor Dodon.
Rogozin was included in the EU sanctions list over his alleged involvement in undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
