MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in July, The Guardian newspaper reported that UK government reached a consensus and would include the free movement of people for up to three years after the country's departure from the European Union in the Brexit transition deal.
"If there have been discussions on that, I have not been party to them… I have not been involved in any discussion on that, nor have I signified my agreement to anything like that," Fox told The Sunday Times newspaper.
The international trade secretary pointed out that keeping free movement after Brexit would fall short of the key demands the UK citizens expressed by voting in favor of leaving the European Union.
Brexit negotiations between the United Kingdom and the European Union officially kicked off on June 19, and are due to be completed by the end of March 2019.
