"Two things are clear: first, that there is a calculated, multi-faceted strategy among the Remain camp to derail Brexit by all and any means; and second, that in the absence of the pro-Brexit cabinet, Philip Hammond is prepared to create this uncertainty for business by arguing with himself, in French, which presumably he believes the rest of us stupid Brexiteers can’t read," Crowther said, as quoted in UKIP's statement.
The UKIP leader added that Hammond should be immediately removed from his position, because by being self-contradictory he affects business confidence and leads country to continuation of the existing UK-EU policy which the nation voted against in Brexit referendum.
UKIP Brexit spokesman Gerard Batten, who is a member of the European Parliament, added that the situation was understandable and predictable, because Prime Minister Theresa May "is still at heart a remainer and put remainers in key positions to achieve a remain result."
Brexit negotiations between the United Kingdom and the European Union officially kicked off on June 19 and are due to be completed by the end of March 2019.
