MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia's Investigative Committee continues to investigate the criminal case on the death of Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency photojournalist Andrei Stenin in Donbass in August 2014, the committee's spokeswoman, Svetlana Petrenko, told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"Russia's Investigative Committee continues to investigate the criminal case on the murder of a special photo correspondent of the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency, Andrei Stenin," Petrenko said.
"Investigators keep establishing eyewitnesses who may have any information about the circumstances of this crime, and collecting other evidence," she said.
Petrenko said Russia's Investigative Committee would again ask Kiev to provide information on the results of investigation by the Ukrainian side of the criminal case on Stenin's murder.
Stenin was killed in eastern Ukraine near Donetsk on August 6, 2014, when the car he was driving while on an editorial assignment was shot at and burned on a highway.
