MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said that a 56-year-old man, the owner of the apartment in the town of Lobnya where the weapons cache had been found, was detained and charged with acquisition and possession of firearms and ammunition.
According to Volk's data, deminers found 27 small arms, 19 hand grenades, 31 fuses and some 5,000 rounds of different calibers.
"Rosgvardia sappers have discovered 28 small arms, 16 hand grenades, 27 fuses, 1.5 kilograms of gunpowder, 34 flares, 18 combat knives and more than 7,000 rounds of various ammunition in an apartment," Rosgvardia said in a statement.
"The arsenal has been handed over to investigators," the statement said.
