"The Company produced 70.0 mmtoe (5.70 mmboed) of hydrocarbons in Q2 2017. H1 2017 average daily hydrocarbon output amounted to 5.74 mmboed (140.3 mmtoe), rising by 10.2% y/y on the back of the acquisitions and new projects development," the statement said.
Rosneft also said it had increased its natural gas production by 2.9 percent, to 34.2 billion cubic meters in first half of 2017.
Moreover, Russian energy giant Rosneft and Venezuela's state-owned oil and natural gas company PDVSA have prepared a feasibility study for a project to develop three gas fields in Venezuela and can apply for licenses, Rosneft said in a statement Friday.
"In early July 2017, a feasibility study was completed on the development and outfitting of offshore fields in Venezuela (Patao, Mejillones and Rio Caribe). The work was carried out in line with the agreement signed between Rosneft and PDVSA," the statement said.
