MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Tuesday, general elections were held in Kenya. According to media reports, incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta is leading over Odinga with 54.8 percent to the latter's 44.3 percent after having 85 percent of votes processed by the early hours of Wednesday.
"At about 12.37 pm on the 8th August 2017, hackers gained entry into our election database through the identity of Chris Msando who was executed barely a week ago into the account of the Mr. Chebukati Chairperson," the statement published on Odinga's Twitter page, read.
Odinga stressed that NASA would reject the preliminary results of the election, labeling them fraudulent.
Msando, who served as the head of information, communication and technology at IEBC, and played an important role in developing the electronic voting system, was found dead last week in the suburbs of Nairobi, according to media reports.
