KIEV (Sputnik) — According to the agenda of the Wednesday's session of the government, the cabinet is expected to discuss the "termination of an agreement between the Ukrainian government and the Russian government on coordination procedures while exporting military goods (products) to the third countries."
The agreement between Kiev and Moscow was signed in 2003 and came into force in 2004. The sides agreed on cooperation in the sphere, including via consultations, information exchange and marketing research activities.
The agreement was signed for a period of five years and implied automatic extension for one-year time periods unless one of the parties to the deal informed its partner about the will to rescind the agreement. At the same time, the cancellation of the accord would not have an impact on unfinished projects or contracts signed under the deal.
