ALABINO RANGE (Moscow Region) (Sputnik) — Russia is leading among the participants of the International Army Games (IAG), having already won 18 medals in competitions during the first 10 days of the games, Chief Referee of the International Games-2016 Maj. Gen. Dmitry Gorbatenko said Wednesday.
"According to the preliminary ranking of the IAG-2017 participants after 10 days of competitions, Russia holds first place (10 first, six second and two third place medals), Kazakhstan ranks second (three first, five second and two third place medals) and China is third (with two first and three second place medals)," Gorbatenko said.
The 2017 IAG, hosted by Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and China, kicked off on July 29 and will last through Saturday. Representatives of 28 countries are taking part in the games, including nine first-time participants. The program of the games consists of 28 contests.
