MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "We are expecting a large US delegation in Moscow, and today we received confirmation that the delegation is planning to participate," Andrey Taranov said.
Taranov is leading Russian delegation at the talks of one of the Commission’s working groups in Washington.
Taranov added that the agenda of the plenum would be approved during a technical meeting of a US representative in Russia in September, as well as during the visit of Russian delegation in the United States.
The latter will take place in October for a meeting of the working group on Afghanistan and the Cold War, Taranov said, adding that the November plenary meeting will focus on reviewing the work done in 2017 and setting new goals.
The Joint Commission on POWs/MIAs was established in 1992 by then Presidents of the United States and Russia George W. Bush and Boris Yeltsin.
