British firefighters said they were investigating reports of smoke at Oxford Circus Tube station, which is located in the center of London's main shopping district.

"We have been called. We are investigating reports of a fire," a spokeswoman for London Fire Brigade said, as quoted by Reuters. "We are investigating and we are at the scene."

The incident is not being treated as suspicious, British Transport Police announced in a tweet.

There have been no reports of injuries so far.
This is the second major disruption London has faced in two days. On Thursday, a double-decker bus crashed into a shop on busy Lavender Street in south London, leaving several people injured.
