South Korea and the US have agreed to discuss any actions on Pyongyang in advance, South Korean Presidential office spokesman Park Soo-hyun said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) —  South Korea and the United States have agreed to discuss any actions on Pyongyang in advance as the latter is threatening to launch ballistic missiles at the US territory of Guam, thus raising concerns that Washington may launch a pre-emptive strike without informing its regional allies, South Korean Presidential office spokesman Park Soo-hyun said Friday.

Australia to Come to US Aid if North Korea Attacks – Prime Minister
The telephone conversation between Chung Eui-yong, the head of South Korea's Presidential National Security Office, and US National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster took place on Friday at 8 a.m. Seoul time (23:00 GMT on Thursday) and lasted 40 minutes, the spokesman said, according to the Yonhap news agency.

"[The officials] discussed current security conditions surrounding the Korean Peninsula caused by North Korean provocations and heightened tension, and ways to deal with such threats … The two sides reaffirmed their promise to closely and transparently cooperate on the steps to be taken in each stage to help ensure the security and safety of both South Korea, the United States and their people," Park said at the press briefing, as quoted by the agency.

North Korean leader Kim Jung Un said on Tuesday that North Korea was considering an attack on Guam, which hosts multiple US military bases after US President Donald Trump threatened Pyongyang with "fire and fury."
