WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US President Donald Trump rolled out the names of the delegation he is sending to EXPO-2017, the global energy exposition in Astana later this month, the White House said in a press release.
"President Donald J. Trump today announced the designation of a Presidential Delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan to attend the EXPO International Fair on ‘Future Energy’ in the city of Astana on August 28, 2017," the release said on Tuesday.
The presidential delegation, the release noted, includes US Ambassador to Kazakhstan George Krol, Deputy Assistant to the President Lisa Curtis, Congressman Kevin Cramer and executives from General Electric and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.
The international exhibition EXPO-2017 is held in Astana from June 10 to September 10. With this year's theme being energy, participants have been showcasing scientific advances and future energy solutions.
