A monument dedicated to the Ukrainian fighters of the so-called "anti-terrorist operation" in Donbass installed in Kiev, is actually a rip-off of the Diablo III game poster, featuring the game's lead character archangel Tyrael, Russian media report.
It is reported that the creators of the memorial copied not only the image of the game character, but even the original background. At the same time, the Ukrainian media claim that "the image of guardian angel of Ukrainian soldiers" is depicted on the monument.
The official unveiling of the monument, dedicated to the Ukrainian fighters of the so-called "anti-terrorist operation" in Donbass, was held in Kiev on Tuesday.
The monument was created with help of donations from "volunteers." It depicts a sword piercing a map of the Russian Federation.
The authorities rejected the idea of housing the monument in the center of the Ukrainian capital, so it was erected in the suburbs.
Since April 2014, Kiev has been conducting a military operation against the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, which declared independence after the February coup d'état in Ukraine. According to the latest UN data, more than ten thousand people have died during the conflict.
