MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Haaretz newspaper, police opened fire after the attacker pulled out a knife, with one officer slightly wounded and the assailant dead.

Last week, a man was injured in Jerusalem when a woman of Arab descent stabbed him.
Israel has recently seen a large number of knife attacks against its troops and civilians in what has been called "knife intifada" by Palestinians.
