MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Thursday and early Friday, Barcelona and Cambrils faced two van ramming attacks, which have killed 14 people and left over 130 more injured. Four suspects have been arrested. The Daesh (banned in numerous countries) terror group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
"As you know, this type of asymmetrical terrorist actions are very difficult to prevent. So my general approach stands: all states need to do more, more cooperation and exchange of information is needed, tighter border controls, harmonization of legislation," Voridis said.
Earlier in the day, Spain's Interior Minister Juan Ignacio Zoido said that the security alert level would be kept at four of five possible levels. He also noted that Spanish investigators were cooperating with colleagues from security agencies of other countries.
