KUBINKA (Moscow Region) – The United States and its allies imposed sanctions on Rosoboronexport in 2015 over Russia's alleged interference in Ukraine's domestic affairs. The accusations have repeatedly been denied by Moscow.
"Essentially, the import substitution program is being implemented within the established time limits, and we see no serious problems. Of course, we face some problems in terms of our international activities and relations with partners but they do not exert a significant influence on the fulfillment of contract obligations," Mikheev said on the sidelines of the Army-2017 international forum.
Rosoboronexport’s chief noted that foreign partners were processing the applications and making decisions slower than before because of the anti-Moscow sanctions.
The Army-2017 International Military-Technical Forum kicked off earlier on Tuesday in the Alabino Military Training Grounds, the Kubinka Airfield and the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center in the Moscow region.
