Powerful Typhoon Hato Hits China's Macau
Hato, which is the 13th severe storm in 2017, reached China on Wednesday. A typhoon signal No 10 – the highest in Hong Kong’s storm warning system – was issued in the morning and later downgraded throughout the day.
Hato was already called the worst storm in the region for five years. In China's special administrative region of Macau, the typhoon killed at least three people and injured 20 more, according to the statement of the Macau Health Bureau.
