MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The statement comes following the Wednesday strike by the coalition on a hotel in the northern outskirts of Yemen's capital of Sanaa. Over 30 people were reported to have died in the attack. The airstrikes also reportedly caused damage to several houses.
In addition, the coalition's airstrikes targeted the Bani Hushaesh district, although no information on casualties was provided.

God bless the amazing ordinary people and relief workers of #Yemen. Literally picking up the bodies parts from #Saudi made devastation. pic.twitter.com/59QhGuX5ZR

"Intensified attacks on residential areas and civilian targets and preventing international organizations and institutions from having access to humanitarian relief are in violation of principles of humanitarian rights," Qassemi said in a statement as quoted by the Tasnim news agency.
Yemen has been engulfed in a violent conflict between the government headed by President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and the Houthi Shia movement, also known as Ansar Allah, backed by army units loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh since 2015. The Saudi-led coalition of mostly Persian Gulf countries started carrying out airstrikes against the Houthis at Hadi's request in March of the same year.
