MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto will visit China and take part in the BRICS summit scheduled for early September, the Mexican Foreign Ministry said on Monday in a statement.
"At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Enrique Pena Nieto will take part in the emerging economies’ dialogue and the business forum that will take place on September 4-5 in the Chinese city of Xiamen as part of the ninth BRICS summit," the statement said.
The Mexican president will also hold a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart.
