The park was built between 2014-2017, according to a project developed by a designer consortium led by New York-based architect bureau “Diller Scofidio + Renfro” and landscape architects “Hargreaves Associates,” with the participation of “Citymakers,” urban development experts from Moscow who won an international competition for the development of the territory in 2013. “Floating” Bridge (also known as “Flying” Bridge) is an engineering marvel of Zaryadye Park. This impressive, V-structured bridge has a 70-meter outward extension without a single supporting construction, which seems to hover above the waters of the Moskva River.

The design of the “Floating” Bridge was tested for strength: The bridge withstood a load of 240 tons. This means that several thousand people can simultaneously stand on the observation deck. Photo: The “Flying” Bridge at Moscow's Zaryadye Nature and Landscape Park.
