London’s Leadenhall Market has been evacuated over reports of a suspicious package, the City of London Police said Tuesday, urging people to avoid the area.
“We're at #LeadenhallMarket after reports of a suspicious package. Cordons are in place and the market evacuated – please avoid the area,” the police said on Twitter.

The initial reports suggested that the evacuation began when the police officers ordered shoppers to leave the market shouting "get out."

The incident comes days after a blast at Parson Green tube station in London left 30 people injured. London's police have said they regard the explosion as a "terrorist incident." According to the Sky News, all but one of those wounded in the attack have been able to leave hospital.
The London bombing became the third terrorist attack in the British capital in 2017. In June, a trio of Daesh-associated Islamic extremists conducted a van-ramming attack on London bridge, killing eight before being shot dead by police.
