The European Parliament is holding a plenary session on Tuesday where they will discuss negotiations with the UK, as the March 2019 date for Britain's withdrawal from the EU approaches.

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has proposed a two-year transition period and reiterated London's goal of remaining a part of the European family despite formally withdrawing from the bloc. Trade remains one of the key issues of the Brexit talks between the United Kingdom and Brussels.
