Kutcher's announcement follows that of several other entertainment figures calling for stricter laws on gun control after Sunday's attack, in which gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire on thousands of people attending a country music festival.

Paddock shot the revelers from a hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. The shooting was the most deadly in US history, leaving 59 people dead and injuring more than 500.
Caleb Keeter, lead guitarist of the Josh Abbott Band, who performed on Sunday afternoon at the Route 91 Harvest festival, has also called for tougher regulations.
