A mass rally that started out as a peaceful march disintegrated after a group of protesters started throwing projectiles at the police and destroying property. The police responded with tear gas and batons to push back the protesters, and began making arrests.
Dozens of videos have already been posted on social media, showing hooded youths dressed in black trash store-fronts.

Some 45,000 public workers took part in the demonstration in Paris on Tuesday, which was considered one of the biggest in a decade, as all the unions started protests across France.
According to AP, a Paris police spokesman, who didn't name himself, said three people were detained prior to the demonstration for having weapons.
France has been engulfed in turmoil over the upcoming a labor reform. French trade unions are worried that it will deprive workers of their rights because it will be easier for enterprises to fire their employees under the new labor code.
