According to the Iranian government's spokesperson, taking a position against the Revolutionary Guards and calling them a terrorist group will lead the US to join the terrorists' camp.

Iranian official Mohammad Baker stated that "the world should be grateful to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards for fighting terrorists".

Earlier, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi warned that the country's reaction to the possibility of the Iran Revolutionary Guards being designated as a terror group would be 'firm and crushing'.

Anti-Iran Sanctions: 'US Tool to Provoke Tehran Into Ripping Nuclear Deal Up'
According to the spokesman, the US shouldn’t pressure Iran while negotiating regional issues. In July 2017, the United Stated imposed new sanctions against the country's ballistic missile program. In response, Iran has increased its program's funding.

It is expected that US President Donald Trump will designate Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization, as he plans to reveal a tougher new strategy on Iran next week.

On October 5th, US President Donald Trump stated that Iran has "not lived up to the spirit of their agreement" and added that he "will be discussing that tonight." The President’s words prompted media speculations that Iranian nuclear deal was not in the national interests of the US any more.
